Let me see with a raise of hands if you were told to grow your network marketing home business using the 3 foot rule, hanging flyers, bugging your family and friends from you 100 names list, and holding hotel meetings.
I know that when I first joined my first network marketing company, I was told to use these same techniques. I was told to make a list of 100 people that I knew and basically call every one of them to ask and see if they would be interested in making some extra money.
I was only faced with questions I wasn’t able to answer, getting hung up on, and faced with nothing but rejection. They told you it was a business of “sharing” and not “selling” yet how come no one is interested?
When I was officially shunned by everyone that I knew, all my upline told me that I didn’t have a strong enough “why” for the business. If my “why” was strong enough then I would be successful. My “why” was strong but my “HOW” was non-existent. That was until I found out “how” to build my business outside of conventional means.
The “HOW” is a marking system. There are many out there. Many claim they can increase your hits and drive massive traffic to your website.
Now, is this traffic you really want? Is this “targeted” traffic you can actually use? People confuse a lead as something that is automatically useful. No, not all leads are considered equal. Driving “targeted” leads with a marketing system that draws your target audience to a site where they can sign up for more information is the goal.
Your marketing system shouldn’t require thousands of dollars to operate. The idea is repeatability. Follow one that is generic enough to use and won’t interfere with your current home business. Automated sales and information capturing should only be part of the marketing system. The total system should help a distributor attract, capture, and provide service.
